Full Moon Party

The Full Moon Party is a festival in Thailand on the Haad Rin Beach of Koh Phangan Island place every month by the full moon.
A party with an extraordinary and spectacular atmosphere which brings thousands of people together.

The island has been nicknamed "the Asia Ibiza" because of its big techno nights.
Recommended for electronic music lovers (house, drum and bass, psy trance, Goa etc ...)

Regarding the means of transportation, there are several choices. It's up to you to see, depending on money, time, you are willing to spend.

The fastest way, flying from Bangkok airport (BKK) to Koh Samui airport (USM) transport plane and boat to Koh Phangan (Ferrysamui.com), approximately $290 USD and less than 3 hours of transport.

Easier way, on website Ferrysamui.com take a ticket from Bangkok to Koh Phangan, bus and boat to Koh Phangan, about $30 USD and average 15h transportation.

More complex, on website Virail.com take a train ticket from Bangkok to Surat Thani and a bus and a ferry to Koh Samui and then another bus and ferry to Koh Phangan, about $30 USD and an average 13h transport.

Koh Phangan is the 5th largest island of Thailand with beautiful beaches.

The south of the island is essentially dedicated to parties, the Full Moon Party and to many other parties, such as the half-moon, the jungle party...
The rest of the island is quiet with its mountains and wonderful waterfalls and deep jungle.

For Full Moon Party nights, there are more boats with also 300 THB ($10 USD) packages for Koh Samui to Koh Phangan boat and transportation included to Haad Rin beach where parties are waiting for you.
If your accommodation is not on site the entrance is 100 THB ($3 USD) bracelet offered.


1- Arrive at the end of the day at the Full Moon and you do not have to pay 100 THB.
2- Put on your shoes because there are broken bottles or you will simply lose your flip flops because of the sea
3- Buy your buckets or any other alcohol in the small streets leading to the beach otherwise you will pay two or three times more on the beach
4- If you want to sleep on the spot book your hotel as soon as possible because hotels in the south of the island are quickly filled. If not, you still have available hotels in the north of the island.
5- Be prepared for waiting time for the taxi return because they only start when they are full.
